SRIS Activities Committee

What is the Activities Committee?

  • It is one of the three branches of leadership at Sunrise Ridge. The other two are the Student Council and the Student Ambassadors.

  • As a representative of Sunrise Ridge the Leadership teams will do the following:

  • Participate in Student Leadership meetings and activities.

  • Be a positive example at school and in the community.

  • Attend school on time every day.

  • Comply with dress code.

  • Conduct themselves in a positive respectful manner to school, staff and students at all times.

  • Complete assigned tasks.

  • Comply with the Sunrise Ridge Student rules as outlined in the student planner.

  • Maintain good grades (3’s and 4’s).

  • May miss class for activities, service opportunities, and preparations for school events.

What activities do they do?

  • Student contests before school and during lunch

  • Intramurals

  • Thunderstick Challenge

  • Assemblies

  • The Turkey Trot

  • The food drive

  • Help with Kindness week

  • Possible other activities as assigned

How do I get on the Activities Committee?

  • First of all you have to be nominated by one of the SRIS faculty members. They look for responsible and kind students who get good grades.

  • You must be in 7th grade

  • You must fill out the application that is on the link above. Applications are due on August 22, 2022

  • All who apply will be notified no later than August 26, 2022

When do they meet?

  • Members will be moved to Mr. Jenson's Homeroom class and meet in room #410 during Homeroom.
